Vampire AU - Itaru

3/1/2021

This is part of my A3! vampire AU (First Bite series) where the Mankai Dorm residents are all vampires except for Izumi.

==================

Itaru pinned Izumi against the wall in the dimly lit room, smiling with a hint of mischief in his eyes. He leaned in close as Izumi backed up, unable to space away from him.

"My cute director shouldn't make herself so vulnerable. You need to remember whose room you're in when you start getting demanding." Itaru's smile revealed his fangs, causing Izumi to tense up.

"Itaru...could you please move? I get it, so..."

Izumi nervously pressed against Itaru's shoulders which only provoked him to tease her more. He moved his face down to her neck. Izumi could feel his breath against her and the strength to resist began to fade.

"When I'm this close, it's easy to smell your blood." His face was close enough that his lips were nearly touching her, "This scent...is this what I think it is?"

"I...I don't know...! Itaru, this isn't funny anymore!"

Itaru's eyes widened, "You don't know? ...Have you never been bitten before?"

Izumi was too shaken to respond, but her reaction told Itaru her answer. Various thoughts came to mind as she remained still, unable to push against a vampire's strength.

It's not everyday you get the chance to bite someone who's never been bitten before, especially for adults. Not even knowing her own blood type...that's pretty exciting. Plus, the director is pretty cute...

Itaru smirked. He gently laid his fangs against her neck, just a slight pressure away from breaking through the skin. Izumi knew in this scenario that she had no power to free herself and had no choice but to resign to his will. She had never experienced this before, as all her previous relationships were with humans and none of them ever escalated to this level of passion. What made this situation even more nerve-wracking was the fact that Izumi had never looked at Itaru in this light, nor had she ever expected him to act so forcefully with her.

Itaru gently pressed his fangs further, inciting a small yelp out of Izumi. This reaction caused Itaru to halt from biting down any further. He let out a chuckle as he pulled his teeth away, instead leaving a gentle peck on her neck instead. Izumi, who had shut her eyes, slowly peeked at Itaru to see him instead press his forehead against hers.

"You really are defenseless if someone wanted to take advantage of you. Don't forget the danger you risk by living here." Itaru warned.

Izumi, recognizing Itaru wouldn't go any further, felt her heartbeat calming down, "I never once thought I was in danger living here. I trust you."

You trust me, huh...

The thought of Izumi having faith in Itaru had the opposite intended effect, urging him to tease her more.

"Izumi..."

As he called out her name, Itaru slowly brought his lips closer to hers. Before they could touch, however, the sound of the door opening caught them off guard as Chikage entered the room with Tsuzuru right behind him.

"H-Huh!? What are you two--!?" Tsuzuru's face instantly turned red as he looked away.

Chikage hummed, "I see. You two were the last people I expected to get together."

"T-Together!?" Izumi came back her senses and started to push Itaru away again, "This isn't what it looks like!"

Despite Izumi's attempts, Itaru remained in the same position, side-eyeing the other two vampires.

"Oh? I'm very interested in knowing what you two could possibly be doing in that position." Chikage turned his attention to Itaru, "Chigasaki, surely you're aware there are laws against biting humans against their will. Our poor director does not seem to be enjoying this."

"Maybe that's just the kind of play we like." Itaru maintained his cool, monotone voice.

Tsuzuru, regaining his composure, walked over to the two and pulled Itaru off of Izumi.

"I don't know what you're doing, but if you're bothering the director, you need to cut it out!" Tsuzuru lectured, "Director, are you okay!?"

Izumi felt relief having Itaru finally pulled away from her.

She nodded, "Yeah, he didn't do anything. He was just messing with me."

Tsuzuru sighed, thankful that his troupe mate hadn't committed any crimes. Itaru said nothing, returning to his disinterested persona.

"A-Anyway!" Tsuzuru turned towards Itaru, "I needed to talk to you about the upcoming play. You weren't present for the last Spring troupe meeting because you weren't feeling well, right? I'm here to get you up to date."

"That's right!" Izumi pitched in, "I needed to talk to you about that! It's good that you're already here, Tsuzuru. We can get right into it, then."

Itaru decided not to postpone getting ready for the play any longer and agreed to discuss it with them.

The three sat together on the couch as Izumi looked towards Chikage. "You might as well join us, too, Chikage."

"I'll pass for now." He declined, "I just needed to stop by to get something for work. Don't worry, if there's anything important, I'll be ready to listen at tomorrow's morning practice."

Chikage waved goodbye as he grabbed a briefcase by his desk and headed back out. As he closed the door, he stood for a minute in the hallway, thinking about the scene he had walked in on earlier. The image of Itaru and Izumi together, as well as Itaru acting strangely at their previous troupe meeting, clicked together in his head. While he hadn't been sure of the director's feelings, he had a feeling his suspicions of Itaru were correct.
